Kitchen Faucet Installation in Langley: A Bridge Faucet, Instant Hot and Dishwasher in One Island Visit

A homeowner's own kitchen faucet and instant-hot tap set over a new farmhouse sink, a dishwasher on a high loop and a basement toilet reset, at a house south of Langley in August 2026

Location: South of Langley, Whidbey Island, WA
Service: Kitchen faucet and fixture installation
Technicians: Willie and Chase

In August 2026 a homeowner south of Langley was finishing a kitchen remodel and had already bought the fixtures: a matte-black bridge faucet, a matching instant-hot dispenser and an IKEA dishwasher. Willie and Chase installed all three on one visit, and before they left they also reset a basement toilet that had started leaking at its base.

What We Did

Willie and Chase started at the sink. They set the bridge faucet and the instant-hot dispenser, mounted the dispenser's tank in the cabinet below, and fitted two new double angle stops. Then they filled and drained the sink six times to make sure every joint in the drain was sealed, and ran both taps to test them.

The dishwasher came next. A few of its trim pieces were not in the box, so the crew connected everything that could be connected: the water supply, the drain on a high loop into a tubular wye under the sink, and the electrical. They ran it through one full cycle, drain cycle included, to be sure it filled and emptied the way it should.

Open sink cabinet before the trim-out, with copper water stubs and a white drain stub coming through the wall, the new faucet's hoses hanging down and the instant-hot tank still in its plastic bag
The same cabinet before the work, with the new faucet's hoses hanging and the instant-hot tank still in its bag.

Downstairs, the toilet in the basement bathroom had begun leaking at its wax ring. They pulled it, reset it on a new seal and flushed it eight times to confirm it was seated before calling the job done.

Why It Matters

  • Your own fixtures can go in on one visit. A faucet, a dispenser and a dishwasher you have bought are a single trip when we know what is in the boxes before we come.
  • Test the drain, not just the faucet. Six fills and drains will show a weeping joint under the sink long before the cabinet floor does.
  • A high loop protects the dishwasher. Looping the drain hose up under the counter before it drops into the wye keeps sink water from running back into the machine.
  • A leak at a toilet's base means a new seal. Pulling the toilet and resetting it is the fix, and eight flushes with the base in view prove it.

Why Langley

Every visit to Langley starts with the twenty-minute ferry from Mukilteo to Clinton and a drive up the island, which is why a list like this one is worth doing in a single trip. On the mainland a forgotten part is a short drive back to the shop. On South Whidbey it is another sailing, so we bring what the job needs, and island calls carry a dispatch fee that we quote when you book.
