Common Toilet Problems We Fix
Toilets are mechanically simple, but that doesn’t mean they’re trouble-free. Here are the issues we see most often in Langley and across Whidbey Island:
- Toilet runs constantly — usually a worn flapper, faulty fill valve, or float that needs adjustment

- The porcelain is in good shape with no cracks
- The toilet is a standard model with available parts
Replacement makes sense when:
- The bowl or tank is cracked
- The toilet is old and inefficient (pre-1994 toilets use 3.5–7 gallons per flush vs. 1.28–1.6 for modern models)
- You’re dealing with recurring problems that keep coming back
- The toilet no longer meets your needs (comfort height, elongated bowl, etc.)
