Faucet Repair and Replacement in Everett, WA
Corroded bathroom widespreads, leaking kitchen faucets and dripping tub valves, repaired or replaced from the north end to Boulevard Bluffs by licensed plumbers ten minutes away in Mukilteo
Stollwerck Plumbing & Sewer repairs and replaces faucets across Everett, from the early-1900s houses north of downtown to the mid-century neighborhoods along the bluff. Most drips come down to a worn cartridge, stem or seal we can replace, and when the body itself has failed we install a new faucet, ours or yours, and test it before we leave.
Real Faucet Work in Everett
In June 2026 Chase and Willie spent a day at a View Ridge-Madison house where three widespread bathroom faucets had all failed. The old faucets had corroded so badly that they were stuck in place, so the first part of the job was working them free. The three Kingston Brass widespreads the homeowner had bought then went in without trouble, one in polished brass to suit an almond sink and two in chrome. Chase and Willie tightened four packing nuts on the angle stops, drained and refilled each sink six times and checked every supply line for leaks. One new faucet was missing a handle screw and another had a broken handle cap, so they told the homeowner which parts to ask Kingston Brass for. They also cabled about fifteen feet of the master shower drain and ran the shower for ten minutes.
In July one of the new faucets in the master bathroom started dripping at a tee underneath. Chase came back, took the tee apart and found its rubber gasket had shifted out of line. The washer itself was sound, so he reassembled the tee with a little pipe dope and ran the faucet wide open for fifteen minutes with every joint dry. The return visit cost the homeowner nothing.
In September 2025, on the final checks of a long visit to a house in Delta, our crew noticed the kitchen faucet leaking from inside its body into the cabinet below. Three days later Logan came back with a chrome Moen Arbor pulldown, whose deck plate covered most of the old rust marks on the sink. Both angle stops under the sink had failed as well, so he replaced them with new quarter-turn iron-pipe stops on the same visit.
Other Everett calls of the past year began the same way, by finding the real cause first. In January Logan and Connor offered a Harborview-Seahurst-Glenhaven homeowner a rebuild or a replacement for her worn kitchen faucet, and she chose a stainless Arbor. In May Chase found that the plastic connection inside a Boulevard Bluffs bathroom widespread had snapped, which no part can fix, so he told the homeowner what to buy, and Logan installed the new faucet with its drain and filled the sink three times. In July Chase traced a drip in a Riverside ceiling to the diverter stem of a three-handle Price Pfister tub valve and replaced its gaskets and O-rings. In a Bayside condo, Logan and Connor stopped a dripping shower head on a Delta Monitor valve with a new cartridge.

What We Do for Everett Faucets
Bathroom Widespreads and Single-Hole Faucets
A widespread has a spout and two handles on the deck and two valves underneath, joined by connections that corrode or crack with age. We replace a cartridge or stem when the valves are sound, and the faucet when a connection has failed. Our faucet repair page covers the work across the county.
Kitchen Faucets
Kitchen faucets fail at the cartridge, the pull-down hose or the body. A leak from inside the body, like the one in Delta, means a new faucet. We carry a chrome Moen Arbor pulldown on the truck and install faucets you have bought just as readily.
Tub and Shower Valves
Three-handle valves, single-lever cartridges and diverters come out through the trim opening. We match the part to the valve’s maker and model, then test both the tub and the shower before the trim goes back on.
Stops, Supplies and Drains
Every faucet job includes what is under the sink: weeping stops, stiff supply lines and a drain that has to seal.
Everett-Specific Considerations
Delta, Riverside, Bayside and Northwest Everett: Stops on Threaded Pipe
The grid north of downtown went up early in the last century, and many of its houses still have threaded steel supply pipe coming out of the wall under the sinks. A shutoff on that pipe is an iron-pipe stop, threaded on rather than soldered or compressed, and an old one can take corroded threads with it when it comes off. We look at the pipe before the new stop goes on. Our galvanized pipe post explains why the north end’s steel lines fail the way they do.
Three-Handle Tub Valves in Older Bathrooms
Many older Everett bathrooms still have three-handle tub and shower valves, with a diverter between the hot and cold handles. Their stems and washers can still be serviced, so a drip is usually a repair. When a leak shows up in the ceiling below rather than at the spout, the back of a stem is one of the first places we look.
Mid-Century South Everett: Faucets That Wear Out Together
From Boulevard Bluffs and Harborview to View Ridge-Madison, many bathrooms still have faucets that went in during a remodel decades ago. Faucets of the same age and maker tend to fail together, which is why one View Ridge-Madison house replaced three in a single visit, and why we look at the stops and drains while we are there.
Spada Lake Water and the Hills
Everett’s water comes from Spada Lake in the Sultan Basin and is soft enough that faucets here seldom seize with scale. Pressure is the bigger variable, because the city climbs from the waterfront to the ridges, and a house running high wears out cartridge seals and stops early. When the gauge reads high we talk about a pressure-reducing valve.
Condos in Bayside and Downtown
In a condo the faucet is yours, but the pipe behind the wall may belong to the building, and a unit can share a shutoff with its neighbors, so we find out which valves serve the unit first. A cartridge like the Bayside Delta Monitor’s comes out through the trim without touching the tile.
How We Handle an Everett Faucet Call
Identify the Faucet and Look Underneath
We identify the maker and model, then check the stops, supply lines and drain before we quote anything.
Repair or Replace
When the body is sound and the part exists, we repair. When the body leaks or a connection has snapped, we replace the faucet with one from the truck or one you have bought.
Install and Seal
New supply lines and stops go on where the old ones are tired, and the drain goes back on fresh seals.
Test It the Way You Use It
We run hot and cold, switch between tub and shower, and fill and drain each sink several times.
Faucet Repair FAQ for Everett
My north Everett house still has the old steel pipe under the sinks. Can you replace the shutoffs without repiping?
Usually, yes. On threaded steel or brass supply pipe we fit new iron-pipe stops, which thread onto it, and that is how the two failed stops under a Delta kitchen sink were replaced in 2025. If the threads behind a stop have rusted thin, we show you and talk about replacing that short section first.
I can hear water dripping in the ceiling below my bathroom. Could the tub valve be leaking?
It could. A worn seal at the back of a valve stem can leak inside the wall and show up as a drip in the ceiling below, even when the spout looks dry. In Riverside in July 2026, Chase traced a ceiling drip to the diverter stem of a three-handle valve and stopped it with new gaskets and O-rings.
I’m buying a new bathroom faucet for my Boulevard Bluffs house. What should I look for?
Measure first. A widespread faucet sits in three holes, usually eight inches apart center to center from one handle to the other, and the new one has to match the sink you have. When a Boulevard Bluffs widespread snapped inside in May 2026, Chase told the homeowner to buy an eight-inch widespread and named three makers to compare.
Three of my bathroom faucets are corroded. Is it worth replacing them all at once?
Often, yes. Faucets of the same age tend to fail one after another, and doing them together means one shutoff, one round of testing and one visit instead of three. In a View Ridge-Madison house in June 2026, Chase and Willie replaced three corroded widespreads in a single day and tested every sink six times.
How fast can you get to a faucet leak in north Everett?
Usually the same day. Our shop is on 5th Street in Old Town Mukilteo, so Boulevard Bluffs and the south end are about ten minutes away and the north end around twenty. Until we arrive, close the two stops under the sink, or the main shutoff if the leak is in a tub or shower valve.
Serving Everett From Mukilteo
Everett is our second home market, and on most weekdays a crew is working somewhere between Boulevard Bluffs and the north end, so a return visit for an ordered part comes soon after the part arrives.
